My photography style would be described as photo-journalistic. I love to blend in with the guests and capture candid and intimated moments between the bride, groom and guests. As I use documentary approach, posing will kept at a minimum and I will focus more on capturing in-the-moment scenes. This will be discussed at length with the client before hand to make sure their specific needs are met.

Top Wedding Venues in Alberton

Perched high up in the north of Alberton, where the area’s founders chose to settle and build the town we know today, is Vista Del Monte wedding venue. Meaning ‘view from the mountain’ and formerly the iconic La Montanara function venue.

Vista Del Monte offers a beautiful wedding and function space complete with an on-site chapel; a hair and beauty salon, coffee and gift shop, as well as a picture-perfect backdrop for photos

The banquet room at Vista Del Monte can accommodate 120 people (seated).

Thornbirds Wedding Centre is located in Kliprivier- a few minutes drive from Alberton. The venue boasts two beautiful wedding reception halls to select from.

The Bataleur Room is ideal for smaller, more intimate weddings of up to 60 guests (with a dancefloor) and 90 guests (without a dance floor). The Fish Eagle Hall provides the perfect setting for weddings up to 200 guests with a dancefloor (and 250 guests without). Garden ceremonies are also catered for.

The exquisite stone chapel, lush gardens, and beautiful country setting sets the perfect background for your wedding photos, creating lasting memories.

Benvenuti Wedding Venue is a function venue situated in Klipriver – just south of Alberton via the R59 highway. They offer an elegant country setting with easy access from anywhere in Johannesburg.

The venue is developed in a Roman theme and extensive use of columns creating an Italian feel. The gardens are crammed with spectacular features which include a Long Pond, Italian fountain, as well as stunning Gazebo and Amphitheatre areas which create a relaxing and interesting environment.

The venue consists of various halls suitable for a range of function types – including weddings. The halls and conference rooms are all close to each other, creating a great, easy flow to any function.

The seating capacity depends on individual requirements. Seating can be arranged for up to 400 guests for a wedding where no dance floor or buffet area is required.

Alberton is situated south of Johannesburg – almost like a southern suburb of Johannesburg. It is mainly known as a residential area, filled with families where parents commute to work outside of the suburb. The town is perfectly situated for typical suburban living with various access roads to all the main freeways in Gauteng.

Alberton boasts many healthcare facilities, which include a few government clinics, the private hospita (Union Hospital), and Clinton Clinic. Alberton also offers a rich sports platform for young children and older people in the community who have a love for sports. Many different types of clubs are on offer, including a tennis club, rugby club, boxing club, wrestling club, cricket club, netball club, hockey club, soccer club, jukskei club and korfball club.

This area of Gauteng where Alberton is situated enjoys a dry, sunny climate, with some late afternoon downpours during the summer months.
